What is LBFILM Clear PPF made of?

Clear PPF uses a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) base with functional surface coatings and an adhesive system. Protective PET and release films support handling and installation, and are removed as part of the application process.

Will Clear PPF change the look of my paint?

Gloss Clear PPF is designed to preserve a clear, glossy appearance. Matte options create a lower-glare finish. Request a sample and check it on the intended surface before choosing a finish.

Which Clear PPF series should I choose?

Choose MT for value-focused protection. K and V are our recommended series; V offers a superhydrophobic gloss surface. L is our flagship offering. Compare the selected thickness and warranty, then ask our team for a sample.

How do I choose between 7.5, 8.5 and 9.5 mil?

These are the nominal film thicknesses listed in the current technical data sheet. Choose the series, finish and thickness together with your installer, based on the application, budget and coverage requirements. Thickness alone does not define every performance property.

How do I install, maintain or remove Clear PPF?

Professional installation is recommended on sound, fully cured, clean automotive paint. Follow the current LBFILM installation and care guidance. Heat can assist recovery of light surface marks; deeper damage is outside that effect. For removal, ask a trained installer to assess the film and paint condition.

Does LBFILM Clear PPF come with a warranty?

For gloss films, MT carries a 6-year warranty, K 7 years and V 8 years. Gloss L carries 10 years at 7.5 and 8.5 mil, and 12 years at 9.5 mil. The 7.5 mil matte options carry 5 years for MT and 8 years for L. Coverage depends on the applicable warranty terms, approved use, installation and maintenance. Keep the roll label and batch record.
